Anja Noro, PhD,
Adjunct Professor in Gerontology
Dr Noro is a research director in the Ageing and services unit at the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) Helsinki, Finland. She graduated from University of Helsinki in 1990, and defended her doctoral thesis in 1998 about long-term institutional trends and discharge potential from long-term care. She was appointed as adjunct professor in gerontology in University of Tampere in 2006.
Dr Noro has over 50 publications in peer reviewed journals, over 10 refereed books, and several other publications. Her primary interests include trends in health and social services, acute hospital care, long-term home and institutional care, care quality, performance, benchmarking with RAI-system, register and survey based studies, and quantitative research methods. She is a member of the iNEAC network.
