Richard Jones, ScD
Dr. Jones is director of the Mental Health and Aging Research Center and associate director of Social and Health Policy Research at the Institute for Aging Research of Hebrew SeniorLife in Boston, and assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He joined the Institute in 1997 after completing training in psychiatric epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health.
Dr. Jones’ research interests and activities broadly span issues in aging and mental health, health care quality and services, and quantitative research methods. Dr. Jones is an assistant editor for biostatistics at the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society. He teaches clinical epidemiology to first-year medical students at Harvard Medical School and leads an annual summer workshop on general latent variable modeling.
